The lowdown on Andy Hobson’s latest challenge!

Fantastic’s MD, Andy Hobson, has agreed to Pedal for Pounds which will see him cycling from Huddersfield Town’s Galpharm Stadium to Southend United’s Roots Hall Football Ground for the Yorkshire side’s first away match of the season.

Pedal for Pounds is a bid to raise funds for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and the route is just under 220 miles! The air ambulance is a charity which relies on the generosity of individuals and organisations to help save lives across Yorkshire. It may surprise you to learn that the charity only receives help through secondment of paramedics from the NHS. To keep both of Yorkshire's ambulances in the air requires £7,200 per day.

Andy said: “Yorkshire to Southend is a very long way for an excellent cause – none of us know when we may need the services of the air ambulance.
