As outlined in the previous entry Fantastic Media and Fantastic Cloud Services are attending a conference in Toronto for partners of Backup and recovery software vendor, Asigra.

The second day of the conference kicked off with an update of where Asigra see their technology moving to in the coming years. The strategy aligns with the approach and services that Fantastic Cloud Services are talking to customers about.

Following on, the main keynote of the morning was delivered by Tiffani Bova, Vice President of Sales Strategies & channel innovation at Gartner. Tiffani gave her views on the top 10 trends that will impact the future of IT, touching on how customers are becoming more and more empowered through technical innovation, the reality of the Internet of Things.

As one would expect from Gartner, her presentation and insight provided was supported with data and statistics as well as enterprise client case studies. She also touched on an area Fantastic talk to our clients about – the growing experience economy which comes from demonstrating value to end customers through delivering a great experience throughout a buying cycle.

After Tiffani we heard from another American speaker, social selling evangelist Jill Rowley. Jill brings many years of experience from sales roles within technology businesses Salesforce.com and Eloqua.  She gave the delegates some hints and tips about how to use social networks to sell to the new generation of buyers – millennials.

As with the content marketing session on the previous day, a lot of the content covered in the session was in line with way Fantastic Media work with our clients in terms of social media.

The conference then moved to a technical focus, with Asigras director of engineering updating the delegates on the technical roadmap, which will offer customers of Fantastic Cloud Services even better backup solutions.

The afternoon session consisted of breakout sessions covering a wide variety of topics including further examples of content marketing and social selling, technical sessions looking at Disaster Recovery capabilities and marketing case studies.  In addition to the scheduled sessions there was also further opportunities to network and talk to senior members of the Asigra team.
