A Fantastic up-turn in the construction industry

Launched in March 2015,, an e-commerce offering from the Hire & Sale division of Deborah Services Ltd – leading supplier of non-mechanical building and construction equipment, has smashed its first-quarter sales targets ahead of schedule and is set to double these by quarter three.

Designed, developed, managed and promoted by our leading marketing and e-commerce experts, the online offering allows customers to purchase quality professional-grade equipment for building works, access and ground-works, as well as high-performance solutions for a wide range of building and DIY projects.

The success seen so far not only demonstrates the execution of the marketing strategy by our Birstall based agency, to convert sales via the site but is a true reflection of the up-turn in the construction industry.

Moreover, our team behind the site have been amazed by the range of products customers are purchasing on a regular basis. Predominantly a scaffolding and light access supplier, the extension of the range to tools, work wear and safety equipment comes from the demand of the customer that now views DSL-Direct as a one-stop-shop for all project equipment, big or small.

Our team and DSL-Direct are working closely to continually develop and upgrade the website offering, with a key focus on the product range, the customer journey and order process as well as launching regular offers and promotions. Coupling activity alongside PPC and SEO supplied by Search agency Epiphany, the team are aggressively approaching phase two to push sales in the coming months.

Richard Chambers, Marketing Manager at DSL-Direct commented, We are astonished by the success we have seen from the new channel from Deborah Services. We were confident that there was a market for the accessible purchase of professional grade goods online and our success clearly demonstrates the confidence and demand in the industry. Our hard work is paying off but we still have lots more to do to achieve our objective of becoming the go-to supplier of building, construction and DIY equipment in the UK.

Head of Client Services, and project lead at Fantastic Media Sally Willis added, The success we have seen through is a testament to the skills and experience of our team and our ability to create bespoke, purpose-built e-commerce platforms that not only sell products for our customers but coupled with our marketing and strategy expertise, position them as market-leaders in a competitive market. We will be looking to not only maintain the level of interest in DSL-Direct but work with Richard and his team to significantly grow the offering and business. Watch this space.
