Established in 2013 by managing Directors Ian Beardmore and David Petty, the Harrogate-based company handles FCA compliance for hundreds of businesses across the UK in a range of sectors from automotive and retail, to manufacturing and charities.
Every business in the UK that offers credit to consumers has to be authorised by the FCA. Completing an application for FCA Authorisation can be incredibly daunting and complex. For many businesses, applications can take several months of hard work before being submitted to the FCA and then there is no guarantee permission will be granted.
Consumer Credit Compliance handles all aspect of the application process and have 100% success rate of authorisation from the FCA.
Businesses that offer consumer credit were given Interim Permission status by the FCA. All businesses with Interim Permission were given three month ‘landing slots’ to apply for full permission. Outstanding businesses have a deadline of March 31st 2016 to submit their full application. After that date, without FCA authorisation they will be trading illegally.
After being approached by Consumer Credit Compliance, we formulated a strategy which included a rebrand and an intense FCA application campaign up to the 31st March for the Interim Database to run alongside campaigns promoting Consumer Credit Compliance’s range of other services which includes audits, e-learning and on-going compliance support.
