Hattrick of new hires at Fantastic Media

Following a number of new client account wins at Fantastic Media we’re expanding our team with three new hires. Welcoming Designer Tom Wells, Marketing Account Executive Sarah Miller, and Digital Marketing Apprentice Seth Leech to the team.

Introducing Tom Wells

Experienced Designer Tom Wells joins the Fantastic Creative Team from Distilled Design, where he worked on major brands including Channel 4, Waitrose, IKEA and Sainsbury’s. He also has several marketing qualifications, including a Marketing and Advertising degree from Lancaster University.

At Fantastic, we are big football fans, as Tom discovered on his first day here when we gathered in the boardroom to watch the first England game of the World Cup. Tom loves the beautiful game and the great outdoors. Anything that lets him be in fresh air, especially walking, hiking, and fishing.

Creative Director, Paul Whitcroft says: “We were ready to bring in a new member of the studio who wanted to take on a fresh challenge and progress their career. Tom fits the bill perfectly. He’s hit the ground running in terms of work and attitude and is a powerful addition to the team. I look forward to him taking every opportunity Fantastic will offer and find his own path within the industry. Exciting times ahead.”

Tom voices his enthusiasm, saying: “What excited me about Fantastic was the wide range of creative design work to get involved with and the chance to hone my creative skills as well as developing new ones. I like how every day seems different and I’m enjoying getting to work on a lot of different projects and with a wide range of clients.”

Introducing Sarah Miller

We met Sarah when hiring for a new addition to the Marketing Team and she really impressed us with her attitude and confidence in communication. She’s a great fit for Fantastic and we can’t wait to see her shine.

Sarah joins Fantastic from TTI, where she completed a Graduate Leadership Programme, bringing experience in account management and client services as well as training and certifications from the Chartered Institute of Marketing. She will build on her marketing experience working on everything from paid campaigns to content and PR. Sarah also brings experience in content creation which she’s keen to hone at Fantastic Media. She loves reading and writing, enjoying work that allows her to use her creative spirit.

In her free time, Sarah is an avid traveller, and loves going anywhere new. Next on her list of dream travels is hiking the Himalayas in Nepal. She also loves all things creative, using literature and art to relax and recuperate.

What made Sarah choose Fantastic? She says: “As soon as I met with Andy, Andrew, and Fiona, I knew this was the right company for me. Their energy and drive to achieve for their clients really drew me in. Since joining everyone has been so welcoming and approachable. There are so many opportunities to learn and achieve. I can’t wait to get stuck into everything and love that Fantastic is so committed to supporting my learning.”

Introducing Seth Leech

Seth joins us as a Digital Marketing Apprentice. His enthusiasm to learn and his passion for all things digital makes him a fantastic fit, and we’re excited to support him through his Apprenticeship.

Seth joins us straight from Huddersfield New College, where he’s studied Business and Psychology. He investigated routes to digital marketing through University, but an Apprenticeship at Fantastic offers him a tailored course and first-hand learning experiences in the industry, which is invaluable.

Seth loves to stay healthy by going to the gym, biking, and has newly developed a love of skiing. He’s been taking regular lessons ahead of his New Year’s trip to the Alpine slopes.

When talking about his first few weeks, Seth says: “I immediately feel at home at Fantastic. It has been a welcoming environment and the team spirit is obvious from the moment you walk through the door. Everyone wants to see everyone succeed. I came here to pursue my goals as a digital marketer, and I have been able to start pursuing that from day one.”

When asked what he wants to achieve here at Fantastic, Seth expresses a love of marketing and building something from scratch. He’d love to be able to see something through from concept to conception by the end of his Apprenticeship, something which we all are delighted to help him achieve.

Huge welcome to the team

Fantastic’s CEO Andy Hobson says: “Tom, Sarah, and Seth all excelled in their interviews and demonstrated a strong team ethic, emotional connection and common sense, the key factors in how I’ve shaped this business over the past 16 years. Their personalities are matched by their strong individual skill sets, essential in our results driven environment. As the business continues to build, we will be announcing two further signings in January 2023.”

But for the time being, a huge welcome to our latest hat trick of hires, Tom, Sarah, and Seth!
