We’ve had a busy few months working with two very different organisations, both at a similar inflexion point.
One is a manufacturing business that was ready to step beyond its traditional channels. The other is a fast-growing specialist whose brand no longer reflected their capabilities. Different sectors, different audiences, but a similar underlying challenge. Both were preparing for a new phase of growth and needed their brand and marketing strategy to support it, so turned to Fantastic.
Manufacturing specialist Heyside Plastics wanted to reposition the business beyond its established reseller network and communicate its wider manufacturing, innovation and product development capabilities to new markets. At the same time, bespoke outdoor environments provider Precision Timber recognised that, following a period of rapid growth, its existing brand no longer reflected the scale or breadth of what it now delivers.
Both businesses went through our Insight strategy process, which brings together research, stakeholder engagement and market analysis to create a long-term marketing strategy designed to support sustained growth.
For Heyside, the Insight process led to the creation of Heyside Group, a new brand identity built to reflect the scale, ambition and collaborative nature of the business. The repositioning gives the company a clearer platform for UK expansion, opens up international opportunities and better communicates its role as a manufacturing and development partner, not just a supplier.
Alongside the new identity, we developed the positioning, naming, messaging framework and visual direction, and designed and built a new website to support business development. We also set out a structured programme of marketing activity across digital, PR, social media and events so the brand has momentum beyond launch.
Matthew Pryce, Managing Director at Heyside Group, commented: “The rebrand reflects where we are today and where we want to go next. Fantastic Media helped us articulate our capabilities much more clearly and created a brand platform that genuinely supports our growth ambitions.”
With Precision Timber, the challenge was slightly different. The business had grown quickly and built a strong reputation, but the brand still felt tied to an earlier stage in its journey. We worked closely with the leadership team to develop a new identity, Precision Playgrounds & Attractions, designed to resonate with both public-sector and commercial buyers while keeping the creativity and craftsmanship that define their work.
The project covered strategic repositioning, naming, visual identity evolution, website structure and content, and a structured marketing framework spanning digital advertising, PR and sales support. The aim was to give the business a clearer, more credible platform to engage the audiences it now wants to reach.
Amy Ezzard of Precision Playgrounds & Attractions said: “The Insight process helped us step back and properly define who we are as a business. The new brand and website reflect both the quality of our work and our ambitions for the future, and the collaboration with Fantastic Media has been invaluable.”
Reflecting on the two projects, Gary Pattison commented: “Both Heyside and Precision had built businesses with far greater capability than their brands were communicating.
“In different ways, each needed their positioning to catch up with their reality. The new brand platforms give them the credibility, clarity and flexibility to engage new markets, build stronger partnerships and support their next phase of growth while retaining the strengths that got them here.”
These two projects are part of a strong pipeline of strategic brand and marketing programmes we’re delivering across the Fantastic team, working with businesses that are looking at their next chapter, whether growth, diversification or acquisition.
